Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the app, or using any features (including AI analysis, notes, subscriptions, and payment services), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Faithful. If you are using the app on behalf of a church, school, or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Accounts & Security

• Keep your login details safe and don’t share your account.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• We offer free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, as shown in the app.
• Payments are processed by a secure third‑party payment provider. We do not store full card data on our servers.
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your account settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
• Pricing and plan features may change; we’ll communicate meaningful changes through the app or email.

5. App Features

Faithful may include Bible study tools, theological Q&A, sermon and YouTube video analysis, hermeneutical and rules-based breakdowns, saved notes and results, account settings, usage limits or credits, push or email notifications, and free or paid subscription features. Features may change, be limited by plan, or depend on third-party services and content availability.

6. AI Features & Content

Faithful provides AI‑powered tools to assist theological study. AI outputs can be helpful, but they may contain inaccuracies or reflect limitations of training data. Treat results as supportive analysis — not infallible truth. You remain responsible for how you use outputs.

• Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or copyright‑violating content.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality when submitting prompts or notes.
• We do not use your private notes to train our own models; third‑party AI providers may log requests for reliability and security, and we configure privacy‑protective options where available.

7. Analytics & Monitoring

We use PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for error and performance monitoring. By using Faithful, you acknowledge that these tools may process technical, diagnostic, and usage information as described in our Privacy Policy. These services help us understand feature usage, improve reliability, detect abuse, and resolve errors; they are not a promise that the service will be uninterrupted.

8. Acceptable Use

• No harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior.
• No illegal activity, malware, scraping, or reverse engineering.
• No attempts to overload, bypass, or misuse rate limits and APIs.
• Respect intellectual property and the rights of others.

9. Your Content & License

You own your notes, prompts, and uploaded materials. To operate the service, you grant us a limited, revocable license to store, process, and display your content in the app and to provide requested features (e.g., analyses, cross‑references). You may delete your content at any time.

10. Intellectual Property

Lexa Verum, including its brand, UI, code, models, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works, except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in ways that risk security or harm others. You can close your account anytime. After termination, certain clauses (like intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability) continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We aim for reliability and care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation, nor the accuracy of AI results. Use professional judgment when applying outputs to teaching, study, or ministry.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lexa Verum and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid to us during the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features, providers, or legal requirements. When changes are significant, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the jurisdiction where Lexa Verum operates. Disputes will be handled in that venue, unless otherwise required by local law.
